For those dark evenings or on roads that have no ambient lighting, you need a set of H.I.D. headlight bulbs. There are H.I.D. Kits for most stock and aftermarket headlights. Bright H.I.D. headlights are two to three times brighter than OEM halogen headlights and are easy to install. H.I.D. headlight bulbs come in various sizes and colors. The color is measured in Kelvin. The higher the Kelvin number does not mean the brighter the headlights. In fact, the closer to 4,300 Kelvin is the brightest H.I.D. headlight system you can buy. The lower the Kelvin number, the more yellow the light. The higher the number, the bluer or purple the light. As you can see by the picture, the lower the Kelvin, the yellow the light. The higher the Kelvin, the more blue then purple you’ll get. There is a misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the HID bulb. The truth is that the higher the color temperature, the less light output from the HID bulb.
